Hello, I'm Kaia Hommik, a painter and a doctor by education.
What does painting mean to me?
To me, painting is about creating a new reality and embarking on an exciting adventure in a captivating world. It's like daydreaming or reflecting on something, and then images start flowing like a film in my mind. I seize one of those images and translate it onto the canvas😊.
While painting, I primarily seek harmony and solutions to problems. I find immense enjoyment in the process of painting itself. It helps me release tension and enables me to convey a message, both to myself and to the viewer.
Maalitehniliselt kasutan enamasti realistlikku maalilaadi aga aeg-ajalt võib kohata ka abstraheeriva või ekspressiivse maalilaadi tehnikaid. Värvitoonidest kasutan pigem segatud, pastelseid värvitoone. Peale pintslite ja maalilabidate on oluline roll just maalirullidel, samas vahel tulevad mängu ka sõrmed. Sõrmedega maalides tajun paremini värvide sulandumist lõuendil.
Maalides püüan jätta pigem „otsad lahti“, et vaataja saaks talle sobival moel „otsad kokku“ sõlmida.

In recent years, I have found particular significance in exploring subjects related to environmental protection, as I have come to realize our profound reliance on the natural world around us.

Certainly, the choice is entirely up to you. There's nothing wrong with showcasing a poster or even a homemade photo on the wall – both can be fantastic options!

How do you go about selecting the right painting?
I have provided more detailed information in the Useful section, but in summary, it primarily comes down to intuition. When a painting truly speaks to you and captivates your attention, you will instantly recognize that it is meant for you.
If you haven't yet found a painting that resonates with you, there is another option to consider. I offer the opportunity to create a custom painting based on your favorite natural scene or beloved pet, using a nature photo or pet photo as a reference. The price of the commissioned painting will vary based on its size and whether it is an acrylic or pastel painting. Please refer to the approximate price range provided in the Gallery section. The commission will be completed within approximately 2-3 weeks.
If you have found your favorite painting and wish to purchase it, here's what you need to do:

1. Contact me via the provided WEBSITE-HERE or contact information to send your request. I will respond to your inquiry within one business day.
2. Once we have discussed the details of your purchase, I will send you an invoice via email. You can proceed with the payment as indicated on the invoice.
3. After the transfer has been completed, you have two options for receiving the painting. You can either choose to pick it up in person or have it delivered to your home by post. For delivery within Estonia, I use the reliable Omniva courier service, which delivers to even the most remote towns and villages within 2-3 days. I have also successfully shipped paintings abroad using courier services. For example, I have sent paintings to Germany, paintings have also been shipped to Finland and Sweden with high-quality delivery services. Shipping fees for international orders are the responsibility of the customer, and you can review the rates from the WEBSITE-HERE
What if the painting doesn’t fit the wall?
Even if you have made what you thought was the perfect choice, sometimes a painting may not suit your home or office as expected. However, there's no need to worry because I offer a money-back guarantee.
If you find that the painting doesn't fit your space, simply contact me and you will have the option to return it within 14 days. I will provide a full refund, which amounts to 100% of your payment.
